Advising for your African Studies Minor

Director of African Studies, Oluwakemi “Kemi” Balogun, is available to meet with students, either in person or remotely, to talk about class planning, minor requirements, the graduate specialization, or other questions related to Africa research, internships, etc. Click here to view current office hours and to book a 15-minute appointment.

If you are not available during her set office hours, email Kemi directly at kbalogun@uoregon.edu and list two to three day/time combos when you would be available in person or for a Zoom meeting.

Major Advisors in Tykeson

The Advising Teams in Tykeson work closely with all university Advising Teams to ensure students have a clear understanding of departmental requirements, so no matter what your undergraduate major is, continue to reach out to the Advising Team in Tykeson first for your general undergraduate advising needs – they will be providing remote advising appointments via Microsoft Teams (available for download here).

Advising for Graduating Seniors

All graduating seniors are encouraged to set up an appointment with a Tykeson Advisor in the first few weeks of your graduating term as a starting point to go over any questions you may have.
